Garden Journal: September 2, 2012

As September begins, so do the new TJDG interns. Emily, Kari, and Marissa have returned to help out in the garden, with Chelsea leading the way.

Chelsea straightening up the sesame plants.

The garden thrived this summer. The corn, sunflowers, and Jerusalem artichoke are huge. The passion flower has spread its roots throughout the entire garden.

The overly excited passion flower. I can’t wait for the fruit to ripen!

Much of the day was spent weeding, and that included pulling up quite a lot of overly excited passion flower.

The lovely and prolific garden. Come and check it out!

The focus for today was tidying up the extremely prolific garden. It was truly a joy to be working in such a beautiful environment once again.
